Matt offers open water guiding fishing trips for bass, walleye, crappies, bluegills, pike, catfish, muskies, and more!! Open water trips can be tailored to fit your skill level and what you want to get out of the day on the water! Oh, and make sure to bring your questions! Not only are you out there to catch some fish, but it's your own personal on-the-water seminar!! These trips take place across the Metro Area, MN... so lake choices available!!

Ice Fishing



Matt offers guided ice fishing trips for crappies, bluegills, walleyes, pike and even channel catfish!! The modern age of ice fishing is a fun one and it's always changing, and it's one of Matt's favorite seasons!! Oh, and make sure to to put together a list of questions! Not only are you out there to catch some fish and enjoy a Minnesota winter day, but it's your own personal on-the-ice seminar!! These trips take place across the Metro Area, MN... so lake choices available!!




What You Need to Bring



Matt will have all of the gear needed for the day of fishing, but you're more than welcome to bring your own gear to use as well, so whatever you're comfortable with!! Otherwise you will need a valid MN Fishing License as well as the necessary clothes depending on the weather. Feel free to bring snacks or drinks with, too!! Oh, and a positive attitude and be ready to catch some fish, learn and have some fun!!

You can purchase a MN Fishing License at many different fishing stores and gas stations across the state, or else you can buy one online right at the MN DNR website.​

Guide Trip Pricing



Matt offers several different pricing options to fit your individual or group needs:

  • 1-2 People (5 hours): $400.00
  • 3 People (5 hours): $450.00
  • More than 3 people: Please contact Matt and a group rate can be arranged.

Feel free to get creative and plan your trip with Matt and even hit a lake you've never been on, or target a species you've never targeted before! Feel free to even suggest trying to catch multiple species during one trip as well!! The options are almost endless in the Metro Area, MN!! ​

Matt has been offering open water and ice fishing guided fishing trips in the Metro Area, MN since 2002. He sincerely enjoys the educational side of guiding and makes it his passion to help others catch more fish, but most importantly, know what they did to catch those fish so they can go forward and do it on their own as well!! Matt has been blessed and is happily married to his beautiful wife (Tara) and his four amazing kids (Jack, Ben, Brody and Callie)!! He enjoys getting them out fishing as much as possible, too!! Always willing to help and talk fishing, Matt is excited and eager to take you on your next adventure!!
